The striking flowers begin to bloom in July and will last through to September, where they can be enjoyed in the garden or used in floral arrangements when cut. Agapanthus are excellent hardy perennials that will flourish in sunny areas of the garden in well-drained, fertile soil where they will reach an eventual height of up to 90cm.
