Made exclusively for the National Trust, our rhubarb and ginger jam is a great combination, tangy but sweet, packed full of flavour.
Made by hand in small batches to traditional recipes using specially selected whole fruits, our jams are perfect to use in cakes, puddings, tarts or simply heavenly on hot buttered toast. Traditionally made in small open pans and hand-filled into jars.
While rhubarb has been eaten since the 1700s, it has been used to colour hair for 3,000 years. The image shows famous redhead, Jane Morris, painted by Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Ford Madox Brown.
