1 stars Unusable product Written by

Terrible, I didn't expect high quality but left barrel would not focus at all and right (dioptre) barrel was poor. The build quality was slipshod, even for a cheap product (rubber not fitted on well). Bought these as an "emergency" pair but they're unusable, will be returning them shortly.

3 stars Disappointing quality Written by

Somewhat disappointing. For £15.00 you can't expect much, but from the National Trust I would have expected better. Not as good quality as the free ones I received when I joined the National Trust a few years ago. I bought these for my granddaughter as a first pair of binoculars but I ended up giving her the aforementioned freebie ones which were perfectly adequate. The lenses seem fine, but the hardware manufacture quality is not very good and it is difficult to get a stable focus - even if you have long experience and know how it should be done.. The people who mention that they see a double image - this is because the alignment is not correct. It can often be improved by loosening the pin-bearings slightly so that it is possible to slightly flex the positions of the right and left halves - but this should not be necessary.

Not very clear seemed to be a haze over part of left lens. Also a lot of tiny but significant black dots over both lenses. Tried using a soft camera blow brush then cloth supplied to get rid of them but to no avail. Assume they must be on inside of lens. Sent them back for money refund would not buy again. Clarity of lenses need to be checked were they are manufactured before sending them out to retailer,. very disappionting.

5 stars Handy bino's Written by

After visiting the Wetands centre with my 10 x 50 binoculars you eventually feel the weight of these being around your neck. These are a lot more manageable even if you give up some magnification. You cant get better for the money and I was. lucky enough to pick them up from a charity shop along with a "Fat face" summer shirt Lucky day for me ! Going to see "Hamilton"in August , they will be coming with me.

5 stars Missung feature on binoculars Written by

Disappointing to fund that my (otherwise very neat and satisfactory) NT Pocket Optic binoculars lack the advertised feature, shown on the instruction leaflet, of fold-down eyecaps, important to a spectacle wearer. The leaflet describes them, with an illustration, but they are not there! I phoned the NT helpline and I have the option to send them back, but they couldn't tell me if there is an alternative model, or why these are misdescribed. They suggest visiting a NT shop, but there are none nearby, and it is anyway out of season for shops at properties.

5 stars Need to understand the focus method Written by

I was concerned at the reviews where some people complained about the focus It seems clear that they used the wrong focus sequence. Once one has focused with one eye only through the fixed eyepiece before adjusting the other adjustable eyepiece the picture is excellent. Nothing replaces focus on clear focussing instructions

This was a Secret Santa present. It was a great choice. They were received with a big smile and a big thank you. They are just the right size to fit in a pocket and light enough to carry.

4 stars Great customer service, but product quality gone down? Written by

I'd used a friend's pair of these before as opera glasses, and found them brilliant. Couldn't find them in any NT shop, so bought online. Unfortunately they were faulty, with one lens seeming to be permanently blurred despite extensive focusing, and the black plastic rings on the lenses were not sited properly. NT kindly offered a replacement, and paid for the return postage. The second pair works fine, though I wonder if the quality of this product has gone down since my friend got his pair?

4 stars Perfect for me. Written by

My binoculars were very large and heavy, more liken to doing weight exercises each time I used them. I did not want to spend a fortune on another pair and choose this small cheap pair, they are perfect, one must take time in getting used to them, hence 4 stars. With patience you will be pleased that you have purchased them. They are lightweight, and give a perfect view of the birds in my garden.

5 stars Lightweight binoculars Written by

I had borrowed a pair of these from my son to go birdwatching. I was so impressed with their performance that I bought a pair for myself.

5 stars Super purchase! Written by

Bought these as a Thank you gift for a keen walker. Was very impressed with quality and size (actually are pocket sized as described - perfect). Great value for money too.

5 stars Excellent Binoculars Written by

Excellent binoculars, very light weight, fits neatly in your pocket or bag. For such compact binoculars they are quite powerful, which is great for bird watching at a fairly good distance. I carry them in my bag so when we visit a NT property they are easily to hand taking-up next to no space or weight in my bag. Excellent quality and features, with simple focussing instructions.

5 stars Christmas presents Written by

Bought two for my grandchildren for Christmas so not tried them out yet . They look perfect , just the right size , fold away with a case . Ideal for looking at birds in the garden & taking out when out & about , very pleased with purchase .

5 stars pocket optic binoculars Written by

Bought as a gift, but seem to be an ideal, and handy, gift for walkers and cyclists due to its compactness.

5 stars Good Product Written by

Very happy with purchase, just wanted something small and these are ideal.

5 stars Pocket Binoculars Written by

Very good value, excellent clear focus.

3 stars Good for value Written by

Lightweight and compact, not the biggest fields nor particularly good in indifferent light but more than adequate for general everyday use. Can be stored in pocket or knapsack without bulk.
