Overview

Nostell is a story of craftsmanship, aspiration and hard work.

This guidebook reveals the innovation and skill that created this grand estate, including the treasure house at its heart.

Discover Robert Adam-designed interiors, custom-made Chippendale pieces and in-depth information on key collection items, including masterpiece paintings and the breath-taking 18th-century doll's house.

Nostell is also a house of stories: the daughter who ran away with a baker; extravagant, three-day-long parties; airplanes on the vista.

Read on to find out more about the lives of the people who lived here, and the servants and groundsmen who kept everything running smoothly.
