This William Morris Tree of Life Light tapestry wall hanging is an iconic piece that will make a statement in any home.
It is a fine loom woven tapestry hanging with slotted top on the reverse.
This exquisite tapestry is also known as 'The Garden' and is from an embroidered wool portière designed by John Henry Dearle (1860-1932), an associate who worked very closely with William Morris for many years.
The original tapestry was woven by Morris and Company in their studio at Merton Abbey, Surrey, circa 1910. Woven in France and hand finished in England.
