So glad that National Trust has also a cookbook with a lot of vegan recipes in it. I hope that all the NT restaurants will also have at least one but if possible more vegan options on their menu.

I so disagree with the first review. I bought this book earlier this week, have tried four of the recipes so far. Each of these has been easy to follow, realistic, with easily obtainable ingredients and most importantly delicious. I have a substantial library of food/cookbooks 50-60+ volumes and would rate this amongst the very best. Having prepared only four of the recipes I realise this is a very small sample but the book has stimulated a new enthusiasm for preparing vegetarian food. The information relating to gluten free and dairy free options is really most helpful.

Sorry I bought this, it was for me but not very inspiring, just trying unsuccessfully to be different. Having said that the gluten free/lacto free/etc suggestions were ok.
