Celebrating 10 years of contemporary art Trust New Art is the National Trust’s ambitious programme of contemporary arts supported by partnerships with Arts Council England and the Arts Council of Wales.

For the past 10 years it has showcased works by some of the UK’s most inspiring artists, including Sir Peter Blake, Lubaina Himid and Antony Gormley. Across the decade the National Trust has commissioned over 300 artists at over 150 places.

Celebrating the programme’s 10th anniversary, this guidebook brings together over 30 of its most experimental, thought-provoking and often poignant creations. These range from land art, sculpture, film, poetry and sound to dance, performance and immersive installations. Two essays uncover the programme’s breadth and depth of intention and impact.
