4 stars Great idea to see interesting places with imperfection Written by

The Touring pass is a great idea for tourists to see loads of interesting places. If you think about getting one do so. Ordering and getting the pass was easy. The only odd thing I noticed: There should be an option to also have the car park fees included as I was made to pay GBP 4.00 for the car park at Knole House

3 stars Good value for many things to do but problems with receiving the pass Written by

The touring pass was a good opportunity for our visit in England. It is very easy to order the pass online but when it comes to getting the pass at one of the named locations it causes some trouble. Doing the ordering of the pass during our stay in England we didn't have a printer at hand so the only opportunity was to bring the confirmation mail. Unfortunately internet access isn't given at all iternities so that thanks to a very friendly member of staff we finally received our touring pass. Why isn't it possible to bring the number of reference? This would make things much easier.

5 stars Absolutely amazing! Written by

We had been using these touring passes twice while being on short vacations to England. And they proved to be real treasures! We visited so many beautiful places including Lyme park, Lacock, Dyrham, Hardwick hall and many others. My dreams would have never come true without these "magic tickets". Thank you so much, NT! :-)

5 stars Great Experience Written by

My husband and I were in the UK for 10 days and tried to do 2-3 activities per day. We bought a 7-day pass and we were able to see a handful of National Trust Sites. They were by far our favorite places to visit. Each National Trust site was family focused and very informative. We were so impressed and will definitely get another pass the next time we visit. Thank you for a great experience!

5 stars Great to see many interesting historical places Written by

The pass offers the opportunity to visit a lot of very interesting places to a reasonable price. The pick-up was easy since we stayed at a place near Dover. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We have visited allmost all places in the nearby region. It was really a great experience.

5 stars standards of maintenance at Sissinghurst Written by

The National Trust is in our opinion a superb organization, the touring pass is great value for money. We were somewhat disappointed by the standard of maintenance of Sissinghurst, that seemed in regress compared to previous visits.`One example : the terracotta pots at Sissinghurst were all replaced by semi-industrial pots by Enzo Zago, far below the quality of really good producers from Impruneta, a shame really.

4 stars Great deal Written by

Great deal for history buffs on holiday. Saw 5 sites but had difficulty on some days due to sites being closed. Unfortunately we were not returning to those areas. That was disappointing, but would definitely consider purchasing the 7 day pass again.

5 stars National Trust Touring Pass Written by

Perfect....people so friendly and helpful and the gardens incredible.

5 stars Very much value for your money! Written by

We have made a trip of only 5 days around the Cotswolds and enjoyed brilliant gardens and parks there. It was every time again a happy feeling seeing the entrance fees and being able to pass the gates for free. The National Trust has so many beautiful properties and we have enjoyed them all. The payment was very easy, and only showing the confirmation was already enough to create the pass!

5 stars Exceptional helpful staff Written by

We were traveling through Northern Ireland, entering the Region from the South-West, so Florence Court was our first stop. I hadn't ordered the Touring pass in advance of our travel as the website explained it can only be picked up at Giant's Causeway and Mount Stewart but we didn't want to deviate our tour in order to first come to these places. I expressed my regret in the visitor centre at Florence Court - and something unexpected happened: The staff was extremely caring and suggested to phone Giant's Causeway and find out if there was another option for us to still benefit from the pass. And indeed there was: We were advised to go to the manager's office at Florence Court and use her computer to order the pass. The printed booking confirmation was accepted at other NT properties as a replacement for the pass before we actually got to Giant's Causeway! We were very pleased about this unexpected service. I only wonder why the pass cannot be obtained at every NT property. It would make tour planning much easier, specifically in Northern Ireland. - We are very grateful the National Trust makes so many beautiful spots accessible - this is one of the reasons why we come back to Britain again and again over the years as our preferred holiday destination. 5 stars Very interesting offer Written by

We went to exchange our e pass at the White Cliffs. Instead of giving us two cards for 2 persons (we were 4 all together), they gave us one card and wrote 2 times 2 on it by hand. This was sometimes confusing at the entrance of some of the NT premises and we had therefore to take our invoice with us to proof that we indeed bought 2x2. For the rest, very interesting formula indeed!

5 stars Ideal choice for short stays in the UK. Written by

We ordered the Touring Pass for 7 Days, very much determined to visit as many places as our short trip to the UK would allow. We do love visiting NT historic places, so this Touring Pass was the best option and additionally, very good value for money. Highly recommended!

5 stars A must for any visitor Written by

Having purchased the Touring Pass on the Internet in a few easy steps in advance, we picked it up in London once we got to England - though there are heaps of other collection points as well. We then got a card which was validated on our first visit to a National Trust site. Travelling in South West England for one week, the pass saved us a lot of money, but it also made us aware of attractions all around us which we could visit with it - it's likely we'd not have seen as much without it. A great offer and truly a must for any visitor to England.

1 stars good idea but of no use in bad weather Written by

I purchased this product for visiting family from Germany. We managed visit to Sissinghurst Castle on the second day of their twelve day visit. It was a beautufull day out. Unfortunatly the weather was so wet and cold and windy for the remainder of their stay, that it didn't inspire the otherwise fit 80 year olds to go out. By the time the weather got better, the 7 day pass had expired. We might as well just have paid for the entrance at Sissinghurst. Why don't the National Trust do tickets that entitle you to a certain number of vists rather than a week or two-week pass? It wouldbe better value and slightly more flexible. Very disappointed!!!

5 stars A GREAT value for money! Written by

We bought this card (7 days, 2 persons) for our latest vacation in England and it was a real gem. If you are going to spend you time visiting beautiful country houses and parks that is the best choice. All major locations are included so it will save you lots of money!

3 stars Great value but frustrating to acquire Written by

My husband and I toured many locations that mentioned becoming a UK National Trust Member (always simultaneous to becoming an English Heritage member), but no one finally explained about the touring pass for non-UK residents until after we had paid for entry into Housestead's Fort which was very frustrating to have spent good money when buying the pass would have been a better deal. I also found it frustrating that you could not buy the pass onsite but had to purchase it online either early enough that a physical pass could be mailed to you, or wait to hopefully redeem at a NT location that could fulfill the passes (which appear to be few and far between). Overall the pass is a phenomenal value, however we probably did not get to use it to it's full potential because we had already bought entry into so many NT properties before purchasing this pass. It would also be great if NT was more explicit about properties or sites they maintain that do not have parking as it made it very difficult to use the pass in some cases. The app is a wonderful addition though so if you buy a pass, get the app because it contains excellent information and will tell you when you are near to NT sites.

5 stars Good value Written by

We picked up our touring pass at Fountains abbey on a Sunday, and were delighted to find that there was a free tour available, we then visited a further four National Trust properties during the week. We would have spent nearly double the cost of the pass if we had paid for each visit separately. Very good value.

4 stars NT Touring Pass Written by

Excellent to be offered a "part-time membership in the NT", but: Some NT properties have "pay and display" car parks, not owned by the NT. There is no possibility for Touring Pass holders to show that they can park for free. Last year I suggested a possibility how to solve this problem (relatively) elegantly. I did not even receive an answer.

3 stars Getting the pass should be easier for abroad customers Written by

I expected the pass to be send to my home adress. I live outside UK and do not want to run around first to receive my pass. That is very inconvenient.

5 stars Economical Written by

We enjoy visiting National Trust properties when we visit the UK from Australia and we find that a 7 day or 14 day pass is an economical way of doing that. Please do not discontinue them. Email delivery and picking up the pass at a list of convenient locations is great. My only suggestion might be to increase the number of locations where the pass can be collected.

5 stars Touring Pass, but no Parking Pass ... Written by

We are Dutch. For years, my wife and I have been staying at a NT Holiday Cottage (and sometimes at a NTS one) in spring. Because in May next my wife and I are going to stay for the first time in a cottage with no adjacent stately home where we can pick up the pass, I informed in advance where I could collect the parking label for the windshield of our car. It was made clear to me that it depends of the local staff of the property whether you get one or not. So we have been just lucky always to get a parking permit to put on our windshield . Maybe it is an idea to attach it on a regular base for foreigners hiring a cottage and buying a touring pass? Could be a nice gesture for somebody spending about 1.000,-- pounds for a week or so in favour of the NT! It is a bit silly to be able to visit a couple of NT properties on the basis of your touring pass, but each time to have to pay the parking fee apart. Or are we thrifty Dutchies?

5 stars Great value Written by

I'd recommend this pass to anyone travelling through the UK.

4 stars Good value for money, information not always correct. Written by

The pass offers good value for money, but sometimes the information on opening times is not correct, at least three times we stood before closed doors because they had closed an hour earlier than is indicated on the website. The mobile app works very well and the staff were always very helpful and knowledgable about the sites. Great organization, i hope one day we'll have something similar in Belgium.

5 stars Lovely properties Written by

Always nice to see the properties again. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

5 stars Great value and an essential for any visitor to the UK interested in history Written by

We were introduced to this facility by our daughter who lives in the UK and is a member of the National Trust. We used it numerous times and each occasion was memorable and a highlight of our trip. The National Trust properties are immaculately maintained, the staff are highly professional and it's a pleasure to experience the great pride the organisation takes in its national heritage.

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

the places were beautiful. We enjoyed it.

4 stars Many beautiful places to visit Written by

The pass gives admission to many beautiful sites in England. I found two disadvantages: - the limited number of pick-up-points (had to make sure to pass one early during our journey) - the documentation provided includes only few major attractions (and, okay, a map with all of them on it). Next time I would print out the internet documentation of interesting sites in th region we are going before starting a trip using the national trust card.

5 stars Brilliant way to explore British history Written by

The National Trust has so many incredible historic properties throughout the country that can be explored for free with this pass that it is an excellent value. It also includes free parking at the facilities with paid car parks and Stonehenge (which is not a National Trust property, but is included free with the pass). If you are planning to visit more than 3-4 properties during your trip, you should definitely purchase a Touring Pass. Be sure to check the list of properties where you can collect the pass as it is limited and you will want to stop at one of those properties first.

5 stars Must have Written by

Must have for travel in England

5 stars value for money Written by

A must have for tourists, A cheap and easy way to see the beautyful houses and gardens in the u.K. The National Trust people at the houses were very helpfull and friendly. Please more pick up points.

5 stars value for money Written by

4 stars Good product but limited pick-up points Written by

My wife and I loved this Touring Pass, but it took us until the 2nd day before we could make use of it, because there were no close pick-up points from the area we were staying (Torquay). We wanted to pick our Touring Pass up at Killerton Fishacre, but when we arrived by steam train in King's Wear, it was still 5 miles to get there, and we were on foot. The info given at the different locations we visited was definitely interesting, but it would be nice to have a book where all the sites are described.

5 stars Marvellous mansions Written by

We have seen a lot of mansions and garden. It was great. Next time we will take a Touring Pass again.

4 stars God valeu for money Written by

If you have enough time to travel it's a good bargain and the places are really some of the finest to visit.

5 stars National Trust Touring Pass - Admit Two, 7 Days Written by

This is the good valued touring pass. When our friend come UK, we suggest to purchase them.

5 stars A Must - excellent deal Written by

A big saving, and not having the hassle of worry re your family/friends deciding whether or not they can afford to visit the chosen location. We are Life Members and were very happy to purchase this 7 day pass for our visiting friends.

5 stars Great offer Written by

The NT Touring Pass proved to be the perfect solution for our visitors from Germany. It is well priced which makes the decision to go for it very easy - so one doesn't feel rushed when trying to make the best of the Pass. Just a few leisurely visits to NT properties ensure that the whole experience stays in your mind as a very pleasant memory.

5 stars Excellent way to visit so many places Written by

Excellent way to visit so many places especially houses, castles and gardens! Parking for free, an informative booklet and a map to help you out even further ... Friendly staff and volunteers everywhere! It was a real pleasure using this card. I will certainly recommend it to friends.

5 stars Worth every penny Written by

We visited a lot of places in de surroundings of Bath and Canterbury.

5 stars good value Written by

Good value.

4 stars Very useful, but difficult to aquire Written by

Used our pass quite a lot during a trip through Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset. Large number of interesting sights available free of charge with this pass. Well worth the rather high price. Getting a pass was however slightly awkward. We tried buying one at the first sight we visited, but were told it had to be purchased online and then fetched at a NT sight. We bought one online the same night and tried to fetch it at a sight on the following day, but were informed that only as small number of sights were able to give them out. This forced us to make a considerable detour. We could see no reason why all sites could not give them out, as far as we could see, it was simply handed out.

4 stars OK, but not easy to go and fetch Written by

We liked the touring pass, and enjoyed visiting lots of places of the National trust which are all wonderful and well kept! Only one remark: it wasn't easy to go and fetch it, we went to the cliffs of Dover. Which we didn't want to visit particularly, as the weather wasn't good. It would be much nicer to be able to get it at the first place of National Trust's one visits during that week.

5 stars Ideal for overseas visitors Written by

We purchased this for our visitors from Australia. They enjoyed 5 National Properties, while they were here. We have family membership so these were excellent relaxing days out for us all.

5 stars Wonderful experience! Written by

It was our first time with a touring pass of NT and we enjoyed it very much.

5 stars Best Pass Ever! Written by

My wife and I were in the south of England for a week and visited lots of wonderful houses and gardens with the pass. Super deal and a great experience!!!

4 stars Useful but not without its flaws Written by

Giving you free access to lots of sites and NT car parks, this pass would have got 5 stars from me if it weren't for two problems. Firstly, one can only pick up the pass at a handful of sites, which can mean quite a diversion from your planned itinerary. Secondly, the staff issuing the pass don't seem to understand about activation dates and will want to activate it on the day of issue, not the day of first visiting a site.

5 stars National Trust Touring Pass - Admit Two, 7 Days Written by

Very excellent the pass for tourists is exiting. We were in Cornwall in various nice places. Thank you.

5 stars Perfect :-) Written by

Perfect product to enjoy beauties of England for more than reasonable price :-)

5 stars The right thing to do Written by

The price seemed rather high first, but after we visited our second garden in Cornwall, we felt it was the right thing to do. We got away much cheaper, than without a pass and we stopped in additional places, which we might not have seen if we had to pay for each one separately. I think the pick-up process could be simplified.

5 stars National Trust Touring Pass - Admit Two, 7 Days Written by

This touring pass was ideal for my group of mature German students of the English language, however we found it very tiresome that we had to hand in the passes for the details to be taken, including names, instead of us just being able to pass, as the name would suggest. This took up valuable time.

5 stars Excelent Touring pass and value for money Written by

As a foreign tourist this gives us a great opportunity to not only see one or two National Trust Sites, but stop by other wonderful sites as well. This gives more freedom, saves time at entry and we get to experience more. That this pass gave us free entry to Stonehenge as well was fantastic. I only booked the admission times on English Heritage/ Stonehenge webpage in advance, and allthough having a half an hour window to enter they were not strict on that on this regular day of our visit. I have booked the NT Touring pass before and will book it again on my next visit. It's a must when visiting this remarkable country, and we allways feel so wellcome at all sites. Thank you.

5 stars good prestation Written by

I bought this Touring Pass through your website and went to collect it during one of my trips to London. We'll use it end of june. Up to now everything was perfect.

4 stars Interesting even for a few days Written by

We have spent 4 days in Kent, and taking into account an important concentration if sites hold by the NT, paying £45 for 2persons/1week is a good idea

5 stars Great vacation pass Written by

The Nat Trust Touring Pass, saved time and money and helped to support a fabulous UK association. We were made to feel very welcome at each check in and were thanked each time for supporting The Trust. Without the Trust we wouldn't have so many fab places to see. Highly recommend the pass.

3 stars Balky website Written by

Had trouble with a major US credit card not being accepted (and no list of accepted credit cards was provided). Also, when prompted for my State of residence, it did not provide a drop down menu of abbreviations and prevented me from completing the purchase because I typed in Florida instead of FL

5 stars Purchase and use of 7 day pass Written by

Initial response to our enquiry by telephone to head office was poorly handled - lack of knowledge and dismissive response of staff. However phone call to Fountaiins Abbey was very productive. Collection at Fountains Abbey was easy - they had clearly been briefed to expect us. In seven days we saved at least twice the value of the pass.

5 stars Wonderful service! Written by

Upon our impending arrival in England, our first property visit is not a redemption site. The wonderful people at the office made sure to send our passes to the USA in time for our travel. Thank you!

4 stars you could mail at home as you had done before! Written by

I absolutely agree this comment: "We thought this a good idea to give to our overseas visitors. However, due to limitations on where you could pick up pass, and where it could be used, our friends were unable to make use of this gift, as collection sites were miles away from their tour route and thus inaccessible. We would suggest that NT extend both collection and usage availability to all sites. A joint pass with English Heritage would also be a great idea" Or you could mail at home as you had done before!

5 stars NT Touring Pass Written by

Not used yet! We are going to stay in the UK next june. So we can not review the product.

4 stars Super with a Written by

I am looking forward to using this card next week and another one in August. Next week, we can exchange the coucher on the day of arrival at Folkestone. Might visit White cliffs of Dover. Otherwise Sissinghurst and Bodiam are near our cottage for the week. Less choice when we will arrive in Newhaven, in August. So I hope to collect the pass during this trip.... Otherwise you get a lot of value for your money.

5 stars Del Rio Written by
Great way to enjoy and discover UK! We had the chance to visit castles, abbeys and great houses, as well as organising pic nics in the gardens. Good value.
5 stars Good value for money, but no easy to pick-up Written by
I was very impressed and happy with the pass.It would be nice to be able to pick up the pass at more locations.Having to get a tempory parking permit at every visited property was also a bit tedious.Other than that,a very enjoyable 7 days and very good value for money.
5 stars Excellent Written by

This year I ordered a Touring Pass, not knowing whether I can come back for more visits within a year. Everything works out fine. Unfortunately not every place "delivers" the pass. But as we arrive in Dover, the National Trust area is close and we can activate our pass. Looking forward to new places !!!

4 stars good pass Written by

It's a really good pass but it would be easier if you could collect the pass at every attraction without buying it at home. Hopefully you will work toghether with the english heritage much more so we have one pass for all the attractions. I would buy the pass again.

3 stars slow to arrive Written by

Did not arrive when advertised and I eventually wrote back. Certainly arrived in plenty of time but I did not know when to expect.

5 stars Value for money for exploring NT places Written by
Got voucher instantly by mail after purchase. Had checked where to pick-up card. No problem. Managed in visiting six places in one week in Wales. Very friendly and informative staff every where. Whish we had a NT in our country as well.
5 stars Touring Pass Written by
An excellent idea that could be made a little more user friendly. Unhelpful that pass is only available at a restricted number of NT properties. Is it not possible to use e-ticket printed at home ? It would be also be great to include NT Handbook.Adding a little flexibility ( e.g. 7 days in a 10/14 day period ) would allow for illness, closure and travelling days.
5 stars fantastic organization; saving a lot of money! Written by
If you don't have such a pass, you must pay every visit about 18 - 20 pounds for 2 persons. We have visited during 1 week 8 NT properties and we paid only 45 pounds. Very warm and friendly welcome on all the parks and estates. The National Trust can be proud on his organisation with enthousiast volunteers!!! We will certainly reccomend the Touring Pass, although only few know about its existance.
3 stars Very enjoyable, but frustrating initial process. Written by
The ability to have a 7 say pass was excellent and very good value, and we had an excellent vacation visiting your wonderful properties. As others have noted however, pickup was complicated and it is not immediately obvious on your website that the passes for overseas visitors exist. It would surely be better to email the ticket directly and then allow any property to check ID on arrival. It was just as well that we were planning to visit a "redemption property" first, otherwise we would have been annoyed at this limitation.
5 stars National Trust Touring Pass Admit 2 Written by

Perfect as always at National Trust. A pass you can trust !

5 stars Great Written by

Used the pass at a nummer of gardens and castles. Very easy

4 stars Great value for money, but complicated pick-up Written by

Ideal opportunity fo overseas visitors - we managed to visit five very interesting National Trust properties during our one-week stay and it is definitely great value for money. However, only four stars altogether because of the complicated pick-up-system. The pre-paid voucher (which arrived via e-mail two days after our booking!)can only be exchanged for the touring pass in a very limited number of NT visitor centres - in times of electronic booking this seems an unnecessary complication. It would be easiest to make the printed voucher count as the touring pass (without exchanging one piece of paper for another) or at least to allow a pick-up at every NT visitor centre.

5 stars Thans! Written by

We loved all the superb places we visited: very friendly staff, to the point explanations. The way you organize the conservation of history is something to be proud of! We agree with the remarks on picking up the card.

5 stars Fantastic! Written by

The pass is excellent. The price is excellent, and it makes one free to visit as many sites as one pleases, also smaller, less renowned places, and spontaneously. Also you get the parking free, and you never have to both with buying tickets. We are so far delighted with it - the National Trust sites are also wonderful and all the staff amazingly friendly. Keep it up!

4 stars To Pick Up is not To Buy!!!!!???? Written by

We were one week in GB, so the touring pass for a short stay was entirely to the point. All the staff members in the properties were very friendly. What a hospitality!!. The only remark we have is that according to the website you can pick up the touring pass in a few properties. We thought that we could buy the tickets in the properties named in the list of properties where you can pick the pass. That is a little bit misleading. It will be much easier to buy and not only pick up) the touring pass as a Dutch visitor at for example the property White Cliffs of Dover.

4 stars Good value for money Written by

Very good value for money, but inconvenient pick up system (as pointed out in previous reviews).

5 stars Très bon rapport qualité-prix Written by

Very good value for money. We managed to visit an average of 2 properties a day, wich is very easy to organise, thanks to the Pass!. Like other people, we found difficult to collect the card and would prefer a mailing or e.mailing. A Pass for a shorter stay ( 2 or 4 days) should be usefull Whatever, the properties are wonderfull, the staffs always helpful and nice. The Trust should be an exemple for many others countries...including ours! Thanks!

5 stars Excellent way to explore England Written by

We visited England for only one week. By buying this touring pass we got to see many different properties, while saving money on the entry and parking fee's. I can speek for my family and say that we all enjoyed the beautiful properties. We are looking forward to return to England to visit other sites.

2 stars Inconvenient Product Pickup Written by

Driving miles out our way from our arrival point to pick up the passes at one the few properties in the area that provided them is neither customer friendly nor convenient. Mailing the passes, as was done in the past, was far better. Thanks.

4 stars Worth every penny Written by

Very useful pass and a lot of professionally run sites to see. We had a wonderful trip thanks to the card. The difficulty of collecting the pass is though a clear negative and quite strange. The trust must find a better system. You should be able to either print the pass or collect it at any site. The current system is not at all tourist friendly! And the app did not work very well, needs some more working on.

5 stars Wonderfull Written by

Wonderfull thing if you have planned to visit several NT properties.but Like in northern Ierland there are only two places where you can pick them up, so we already visited one property and had to pay for it before there was a chance to collect the pass.it is not so logical to drive first around 70 km to collect and then back to visit the property. But otherwise i m very happy with the using of this touringpass!! Think about IT while planning your visits!

5 stars very pleased with 7 day touring pass Written by

i bought a national trust 7day touring pass online and i was pleasantly surprised how easy and straight forward the whole process was and it was to use. it was also good value for money as i used it in 5 national trust locations

5 stars 2 Day pass Written by

Super easy to use and what a value. We saw 5 different sites and the cost would have easily been 4 times what we paid for the passes. Using the website to find the places that the pass can be used was really easy.

5 stars Great value for a cultural trip to England Written by

Excellent opportunity to visit NT treasures saving the admission price. Very friendly staff everywhere. Great service!

5 stars Good value Written by

As pensioners on a short visit to the UK, the 7 day touring pass allowed us to access far more National Trust properties than we could have otherwise afforded. We were passing Knole House on our way to Dorset, and called in to collect the pass, unaware that they are not open on a Monday. When we explained that our intended next National Trust property was not one where we could obtain the pass, the very helpful staff let us go through to the house and allowed us to collect the pass. Excelent service.

4 stars Good to have, but wished for more information Written by

I went together with my Mum to the Lake District. The NT Touring Pass made it easy for parking. I wished though I would have information what we could have visit in the Lake District. We only got the pass when picking up the pass. And I only had the information what we could visit from the webpage when I ordered the pass. So I believe we could have made more of the pass. Overall a good idea, but may be better for other regions than the Lake District.

5 stars pleasantly surprised Written by

Visited Charecote Park today and thoroughly enjoyed. Estate is well maintained also great for kids.

5 stars Excellent and friendly Service Written by

It was not so easy to find information about this interesting Touring Pass but once booked, service was great; very warm and friendly welcome on all the parks and estates. The National Trust can be proud on his organisation with enthousiast volunteers. We certainly reccomend the Touring Pass, although only few know about its existance.

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

The pass was excellent value for money we paid £45 for two persons for 7days. We saw 4 properties in that time which saved us a good deal of money. The only criticism I would have is that it had to be consecutive days, due to illness we lost a day and some of the opening times of Monks House and Alfriston clergy then didn't let us fit them in to our schedule so it would have been nice to have been able to stagger the days and have them marked off as we went so we could vary the area we visited as well. Other than that it was a good fix which saved us money especially as we had not joined the trust in Australia before our trip. The only other draw back was that it could have been sold to us earlier but the Nat Trust rep didn't up sell it on the day other tourists told us about the English Heritage pass which is similar and in fact better value but then you have to weigh up which properties you will visit and who owns then NT or EH.

4 stars Great opportunity to experience British heritage Written by

We spent a week visiting gardens, manors, medieval houses, Tudor buildings, Victorian revival estates, abbeys. Each place was unique. Volunteers were a goldmine of information -- just ask the right question. We couldn't be more pleased.

2 stars Visitor pass - confusing Written by

I found the process very confusing as I clicked on Visitor pass but got through to the gift shop. I wasn't confident that my purchase had been successful. I did expect the names of my visitors to be required. Why did it need to be done online when it could easily have been gone in a NT ticket office? I did manage to print off the passes in the end by the way.

5 stars Great Value Written by

Great value and to be more promoted (more visible). Rethinking and creating overall easier collecting procedure will be an added value. Our great appreciation for all the volunteers who very gently and friendly reply on your questions, advise and explain whit professional knowledge. Congratulations for all the staff!

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

Living in Holland and being on and off a NT member I visited England this year with my daughter only for ten days. For us the touring pass worked well and was very convenient. It is good value for money. NT should make more publicity since it is rather unknown among tourists and only possible if you order it abroad. Also it was not known to us that it did not apply for all the NT properties. All in all we really enjoyed the touring pass and will recommend it to others.

5 stars Great value Written by

Great value pass - easy to get money back. would be further improved if was offered to you on visiting sites, rather than just website

5 stars 7 day touring pass for 2 - great value at £45! Written by

Was able to visit Kingston Lacy, Stonehenge, Dyrham Park, Lacock, Tyntesfield - all for Euro 22.50 each. I love the National Trust and would reccommend the pass for visitors living abroad!

5 stars Perfect match Written by

For the 3rd time I visited England. I think the touring pass is a very great value. It gives plenty of possibilities during a stay. For both indoor and outdoor, there's always a good choice. We love the houses and gardens and they display a lot about English culture. I need to mention all the people working for the National Trust when we walk through the properties. Every time when ask something and some interest, the volunteers can truly give an extra bonus with the information, stories and details. The price of the pass stimulates to explore everything share experiences.

5 stars Great Written by

Five stars, well worth it

5 stars Good deal apart from changing voucher to pass Written by

Have been using the pass a couple of times already. It's great. But last year we couldn't start using it at just whatever property and had to make sure that the first property what we visited was on the special list. It was much easier before. Look forward to vsiting houses and gardens again, soon.

3 stars Very convenient but difficult to obtain Written by

I like the pass but it should be sent to the buyer BEFORE visiting the first property so that we can plan and choose where to go. Why can't we print it directly via internet ?

5 stars Buying Touring Pass in advance of friends Visit Written by

Hi I think this pass is a great idear, I have friends visiting over Easter from Australia, So these pass's will be a great help. I think that an improvement could be made by explaining that you can buy the pass,s in advance. I had to phone in to insure that I had not brought them too early.

5 stars Great value for money Written by

We visit Great Britain every year. Up to now Swiss Citizen had to buy the Touring Pass via the Visit Britain Homepage. One had to order the pass at least 21 days ahead of your visit. The possibility to order it now directly from the National Trust Shop is definitely better for us. It would be great if one could pick it up at any National Trust site or if the printed out confirmation would replace the pass. But anyway, we think that it is great value for money and we recommend it to all our friends. Moreover, it is excellent that you offer a pass admitting two.

2 stars Bad service Written by

Easy to buy on the website but why can't you send us the pass and the guide so that it is able to plan our visit?

5 stars Good deal for visiitn National Trust sites Written by

We like the option of a touring pass - admit two. We were able to get our pass at Bodnant Garden since we were staying on the estate. However, obtaining the pass in the future could be more of a problem since you have to claim the pass at one of only a few sites. This could be problematic for those of us from outside the UK. I would like to think there would be more pick-up sites in the future.

4 stars Good value, but should be easier to obtain Written by

We were only able to visit 4 homes, but I calculate we saved about 50% of the cost, and would have saved more if we had gone to more places. However, the passes should be sent by some sort of e-mail or web site process. Even though your marketing staff and people at Hanbury Hall were both very pleasant and efficient in having our pass, the business of travel is not always predictable. We were delayed 2 hours by a train miscalculation, and barely made it at closing time despite some torrid driving, then had to return the next day. When airlines can e-mail your boarding pass, I don't understand why some sort of document can't be sent over the wire. Thanks to all those who helped.

4 stars Easy and good value Written by

Very easy to obtain by internet and to use, the pass is indeed practical and good value when visiting several beautiful castles and gardens in (in our case) Sussex; not so in Kent however. Found the Internet page a bit confusing as is still says the pass will be sent to the subscriber.

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

We visited a number of National Trust sites during our one week stay to England. The Pass resulted in savings for us and was very convenient to use. I found that site representatives were particularly welcoming when they realized that we had a Touring Pass. I would certainly order it again for our next visit.

5 stars Canadian Visitors Written by

Wonderful experience at all the houses we visited. First class and enthusiastic guides. Well worth the price of admission and very convenient. With so much more to see we will return again. Thank you.

2 stars is it still worthwhile buying a visitors' pass Written by

I like very much visiting England, year after year, and never forget to buy a visitor's pass. Some years ago, our family even joined the NT for a while. The distribution mode change that forces us to spend a long and useless journey to get it once paid is ridiculous. When NT spares a few Pounds in postage, I have to spend 10s and loose a day myself. Is it a way NT found to discourage foreign visitors?

5 stars Very good value Written by

Firstly I would like to point out this pass was not easy to find online even friends of mine who work for the N.T. could not find it when they looked. If you intend to keep it under "Places" then please put a note in the "Membership" section as to where it is as all my friends looked there first, and never thought of looking under PLACES ???. That apart my French friends thought it was very good value, and enjoyed the places we visited in Somerset and Wiltshire.

5 stars Perfect experience Written by

We (6 adults coming from Belgium) spent 1 week in September visiting South West and we used 3 Admit Two 7 days passes. This allows us to visit 4 differents splendid places from Sissinghurst to Lanhydrock. Perfect organization. We highly reccommend this deal

5 stars Good value Written by
Used this for an intensive tour of the Cambridge-Norfolk area and saw 6 houses. As I left the ordering to the last minute, I was surprised to find the package in my mailbox here in Canada only 2 days after ordering via internet. In addition to the reduction in prices, we were able to make a timed reservation at one home on a busy Sunday invoking the same benefit a member would have. If you are going to enough homes to justify the cost, this pass is well worth it. I will be ordering again in 2013.
5 stars 7 Day Touring Pass Written by

I spent a week in the Southeast, and was so happy to have access to Englands many beautiful national treasures.

5 stars Really worth it Written by

Best option for casual visitors. Quickly redeemable.

5 stars Very pleased with National Trust Touring Pass for overseas visitors Written by

We were very pleased with our touring pass and could collect with no delay or complications at Cotehele House in South Devon which we were planning to visit anyway. Maybe it would be a good idea if it would be possible to collect the passes at any National Trust site because otherwise the visitor may have to go out of his or her way and collect it from a site he/she wasn't intending to visit. We had a lovely time and also visited the spectacular Glendurgan Gardens in Cornwall. We will definitely order the same pass the next time we come over. Thank you very much indeed for this fine offer!

5 stars Good value for money, but some inconveniences Written by

It is nice to have such a pass and surely is good value for money. But there are some major inconveniences as well, which the National Trust could easily change. Passes can now only be collected at a small number of locations, which caused us a detour of an hour. We did not get a booklet with the card, because they were out of stock already for some time. Other locations did not have them either. We got some folders with a map, but unfortunately they were not usefull at all. Therefore we really should have checked all opening days and times already back home and written down all the adresses. Furthermore parking is included with the card, but because we did not receive a separate parking paper we several times had to wait in line at the ticket window to get some parer and walk al the way back to the car, before getting in.

5 stars National Trust Touring Pass Written by

Thank-you to Katy Evans for her help in obtaining our travelling passes.

5 stars Ten out of ten Written by

Easy to collect, does exactly what it says on the tin.

5 stars Easy Written by

Easy and simple, quite dangerous in a case of low battery.

5 stars Superb Written by

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the National Trust locations. This purchase was a great value to my self-guided tour of the UK. The only thing that would have made it better, would be if Scotland were included. I loved all of the locations I was able to visit.

5 stars Touring pass Written by

Well, it's a touring pass, not a product that doesn't fit right or you don't like the color or it breaks the first time you use it, so there's not much to say. It gets you where it says it gets you and that's about it. However, I have to say the young lady who worked with me to ensure I got my pass in the mail (all the way to Evanston, Illinois) before I left for England deserves all five stars all by herself. Her name is Katy and she is a jewel. Thank you, Katy.

5 stars perfect pass Written by

we had seen so many nice places in the south west of GB. The many voluntarys were helpful. therefore: to purchase this pass was the best decision for us. Thank you very much.

5 stars Touring Pass is integral part of vacation experience Written by

The pass led us to venues we might not have visited otherwise. The docents were a wealth of knowledge and more than willing to share. The properties brought history to life. The National Trust shops were a great source of gifts to bring home. We felt very welcomed at each property and left feeling like we had just visited friends at their unique home. These experiences made the vacation very special.

5 stars great value Written by

Very nice to pay one price and be able to use a short term pass at will for the time we were in the country. This really encouraged us to see as much of Englands Treasures as possible. Thank you for this opportunity

5 stars tour pass Written by

We made great use of our passes, it's a significant savings for visitors to the UK. We stayed in a National Trust cottage on the Clivedon property, they were completely unaware of this as an option.

4 stars Good value for money, but limited availability when collecting Written by

As in title: very good value for money, but when we tried to collect the pass in St. Michael's Mound, they didn't have them, so they had to issue Temporary Membership Card. We got to all the NT places, but had to explain the situation every time, until we got the pass at Cotehele, then it was okay.

5 stars Best Touring Pass Written by

I'm really glad about this Pass. Last year we got a full membership, but this year we are only 1 week in UK, so this pass is best for us. We are looking forward to our visit in June.

4 stars 7 days touring pass - just perfect Written by

I was in England for 5 days and wanted to visit several National Trust places. The 7 days touring pass was the perfect choice for my holidays. Buying it was more than easy and activation at Sissinghurst Castle just took a few minutes. My friend and I made good use of it during our stay and I would always buy one again for such a holiday. The only thing I don't understand and which might be improved is that you cannot pick up (activate) the pass at all National Trust places. Normally our first stop would have been Scotney Castle but as it was not listed as a place where to pick up the pass we had to go to Sissinghurst first. Luckily in this case it was only a small detour. But why can't the pass be picked up at every National Trust place ? Furthermore I don't understand why there is a list of places that you cannot visit using the touring pass. No explanation is given why some places do not accept the touring pass. We would have liked to go to Wakehurst Place but as it was on the list of places that cannot be visited with the pass we did not go there as the extra entrance fee would have been quite high. But nevertheless I think the touring pass is a great idea for short trips to England. I used to get an annual memebership when I went on holiday for more than a week as I always visited many National Trust places. But for short trips the touring pass is perfect.

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

This is a really great pass because it allows someone on holiday in to all the properties for a set price. You can save money even if you only visit 2 properties. I bought passes for family members who were visiting. Much better than having to insist on paying at the gate. . .

5 stars National trust Touring pass Written by

I have ordered the passes for my daughter and her husband who are coming here to the UK from Australia and this will be a marvellous experience for them we were a bit disappointed about the pass having to be picked up at the NT as it was a present for her birthday, but non the less it will be wonderful to spend time in these great places during there time in the UK

5 stars Touring Pass Written by

The pass was very helpfui. It would be useful to have a clearer indication of opening times for the many properties. We missed a few because they were closed when we arived.

2 stars Why don't you send it Written by

I wonder why you have stopped sending the ordered ( and paid !) Touring Passes . From past experience , I know that the staff at the sites are not familiar with those passes issued for visitors from abroad , and I really hope that they will be able to issue it at the first site which I will visit in early May .

3 stars Pick-up place Written by

Hello It is a pity that we can only pick up the pass at a few big NT place and not at all the NT places. The customer service was very helpful und friendly. Thank you.

4 stars Question concerning validity of pass Written by

I ordered the pass in November as a christmas present, when the card arrived it stated the year would be 2012, not much use as it was a christmas present and I wanted it for 2013. But after one call to the national trust all my issues where put aside as I was informed that the card would still be valid for 2013. I cannot fault the ordering service ordered on a weds I had the pass with me by the friday. When I called to discuss my concerns about the date on the card I was given all the information I needed. Will order again from the National Trust excellent service cannot fault
