This mug has been specially created to support the 'Standen Collection' exhibition at Standen House and Garden in Sussex. It features a floral design in complemetary yellows and blues.
As part of the National Trust's contemporary arts programme, Trust New Art, designers Peter Thwaites and Rebecca Aird were commissioned to create a collection of modern, hand-printed fabrics and wallpapers for Standen House and Garden, using inspiration gathered by visitors, volunteers and staff. The collection of wallpapers and fabrics has been used as bespoke furnishings for parts of the house, reflecting the ethos of Standen's architect Philip Webb and textile designer William Morris, whose designs can be seen in many of the rooms.
This bone china mug would make a great addition to any kitchen.
