When Winston Churchill was put on a diet in the 1930s, one of the things he was recommended was stewed or baked fruit. Pears grew at Chartwell, and regularly featured on his menus. The image on the bottle shows an Oscar Nemon statue of Winston and Clementine Churchill in the gardens at Chartwell, Kent.– a gem your purchase helps support.
Made for us by Urban Cordial in London, they handmake the cordials in small batches.
All ingredients used are natural and free from additives. All of the fruit used is British and surplus, helping to fight food waste.
We recommend this served hot or cold (still or sparkling). Add it into your Mojito in the summer, or your prosecco in winter with a dash of angostura bitters or better yet pair it with one of our National Trust gins for a cheeky cocktail.
To serve: dilute 1 part cordial to 10 parts water. If giving to toddlers add more water. Alternatively add 30ml to a gin and tonic!
Once opened store in fridge and consume within 4 weeks.
