Overview
Rich and warming, our Lemon and Ginger Marmalade has been produced exclusively for the National Trust and is packed full of flavour. An excellent combination of citrus lemon marmalade and chunks of spicy ginger. Marmalade gets its names from marmelo, the Portuguese word for quince. In the late medieval period marmalade was always made from quinces. Orange – and lemon – marmalades appeared in the late Tudor era.
The hidden image shows Cydonia Oblong Quince by the celebrated botanical artist Mary Grierson, which can be viewed at Dudmaston – a gem your purchase will help to preserve.
Made by hand in small batches to traditional recipes using specially selected whole fruits, our jams are perfect to use in cakes, puddings, tarts or simply heavenly on hot buttered toast.
Store at ambient temperature. Once opened keep in a cool place.
