Made especially for National Trust our apple, lemon and fennel cordial is refreshing and aromatic. The zingy lemon and warming fennel provide a great match with Britain’s classic apple.
Fennel was associated with snakes and serpents, and supposed to cure the bites of scorpions. It was widely used by the Romans, who ate the flowers, leaves and roots. The image on the bottle shows a figure of 'Spring' with a basket of flowers in one hand a small bird in the other at Chedworth Roman Villa, Gloucestershire – a gem your purchase helps support.
This apple, lemon and fennel cordial is low in sugar.
Made for us by Urban Cordial in London, they handmake the cordials in small batches.
All ingredients used are natural and free from additives. All of the fruit used is British and surplus, helping to fight food waste.
We recommend this served hot or cold (still or sparkling). When turning into a cocktail then just add it to one of our National Trust gins with a splash of tonic - easy as that!
Great Taste Award Winner (2017).
To serve: dilute 1 part cordial to 10 parts water. If giving to toddlers add more water. Alternatively add 30ml to a gin and tonic!
Ambient unless opened, store in fridge and consume within 4 weeks.
