Reviews (3)

This is the definitive illustrated guide to over 500 National Trust houses, gardens, many unusual buildings, art collections and 250,000 hectares of coast and countryside.

New entries in the 2018 Handbook include Trevose Head in Cornwall, Stoke-sub-Hamdon Priory in Somerset, The Firs – birthplace of Edward Elgar – in the Midlands, Wentworth Woodhouse in Yorkshire and the Southwood Estate and Tŷ Isaf in Wales.

The handbook also has a themed index and a guide to what’s on across the Trust throughout the year.

The cover photograph is by the winner of our Handbook Book Jacket photography competition.

This Handbook is an invaluable guide for all National Trust members, visitors, tourists and anyone thinking of a roadtrip around the most stunning places in Britain.

3 stars Members complimentary copy Written by

Me and my mum have a joint senior account for the Scotland trust, which covers entry and parking to locations in England. As we live in England anyway should we not of automatically received this year's English copy?? Subsequently mum had to pay £15 total to get a copy £10 for the book & a £5 delivery. If anybody at either Trust can clarify this it it be appreciated

3 stars Practical Written by

Practical guidebook which gives an overview of the large number of the sites. Personally I would be interested in a more timeless and designed presentation, pictures and historical description of each site instead of precise visitor informations which has to be updated every year.

1 stars Poor quality handbook Written by

As members, we received our 2018 handbook with our membership renewal, but the book was in very poor condition. The pages were not fixed to the books binding, many were loose and some almost detached from the binding. Comparing it with the 2017 handbook, the new one appears to have been made the same way, perhaps this one is just a one off, but if you are paying £9.99 for a copy it's pretty poor quality.
