Made especially for the National Trust, our grapefruit and gin marmalade is tart and flavourful, packed full of flavour.
A tangy, zesty grapefruit medium cut marmalade with a dash of ever popular gin to give it a punch. Made by hand in small batches to traditional recipes using specially selected whole fruits, our marmalades are perfect to use in cakes, puddings, tarts or simply heavenly on hot buttered toast.
Made especially for us in the East Anglian countryside using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
The origins of the grapefruit are unclear, but its introduction to Britain came via America, where it was marketed as a health food, especially good for breakfast. In 1936 the American Olympic team demanded grapefruit for breakfast, and it caught on quickly among the other competing nations, who took their taste for it home.
