Duresta has been making high-quality upholstery for over 70 years, specialising in the 'English Country House style'.
Their factory is based in Long Eaton, Nottingham, a town renowned for the skill of its people in all aspects of furniture making, from the traditional joinery of frame makers through to all kinds of fabric cutting and sewing expertise and, of course, an unrivalled understanding of upholstery.
The furniture produced by the Duresta team combines the very best of these skills with the best materials available to produce long-lasting sumptuously comfortable upholstery. Frames are made from selected hardwoods, each dowelled, glued and screwed for trouble-free long life. Duresta's people are bench-trained craftsmen and women who use traditional methods coupled with the latest computer-aided technology to produce consistently high standards.
For many years Duresta has been very proud of its relationship with the National Trust and its collections which has enabled the company to closely study a myriad of original furniture designs.
