Coffee Logs

The Story
Reviews (2)

Coffee Logs are the new fuel made from your recycled coffee grounds.

Each briquette contains the waste from 25 cups of coffee, and is produced by bio-bean at the world's first coffee recycling factory in Cambridgeshire.

Because coffee is a calorific material, Coffee Logs kick out much more heat than wood and burn for up to an hour.

Sustainable and cost-effective, they are ideal for use in stoves, chimineas and open fires.

In the UK we are drinking 55 million cups of coffee every day, and producing more waste than ever - 500,000 tonnes a year in fact.

Most of this is normally sent to landfill where it emits potent greenhouse gases like methane. bio-bean was founded in 2013 to get our homes powered by coffee.

They recycle spent coffee grounds from independent cafés, coffee chains and office blocks into advanced biofuels like Coffee Logs, helping reduce emissions both through diverting waste coffee from landfill, and displacing fossil fuels.

Bio-bean's coffee recycling factory has the capacity to recycle one in 10 cups of coffee drunk in the UK.

Each bag contains 16 Coffee Logs.

Coffee Logs are made from dried spent coffee grounds, blended with a small amount of sustainably-sourced sawdust, and coated in a thin layer of wax that both prevents mess and acts as an ignition agent.

Dimensions of one Coffee Log: 11H x 7W x 7W cm (cylindrical)

Store in a cool dry place out of reach of children and animals.

Coffee Logs are flammable and burn hotter than wood. Be carbon monoxide aware.

5 stars Bio coffee logs Written by

I bought these logs and was absolutely amazed at how quickly they lit up and created a lovely roaring flame in our open fireplace. Highly recommended.

5 stars Great little logs, good burn time Written by

Bought some of these for my wood-burning stove, used them with some wood logs they burn super hot. It's a bonus that they are good for the environment by reusing coffee waste. No coffee smell, unfortunately!
